Volunteer verifiers · unpaid · anonymous by default
Check the count, not the candidate.
Verifiers look at the citizen photos coming in from their own state and flag anything that doesn't add up. They never change a result. A flag goes to an automated re-investigation, then to a single admin who approves or rejects it, and every decision is published in the ledger.
How a problem gets fixed
- Citizens report
Photos of Form EC8A arrive by Telegram, WhatsApp, X, web and SMS. - Machines agree
Text recognition plus ≥85% agreement from at least 3 independent reporters. - Verifiers flag
An SZV or NRV sees something wrong in their area and raises a flag with a reason. - AI re-investigates
All photos and reports for that unit are re-read and compared, and a summary is written. - Admin decides
One admin approves or rejects. Approved fixes are new ledger entries, so nothing is erased.
Three roles
∞
Citizen monitors
Anyone at a polling unit. Photograph the posted result sheet and send it in. You need no account, you stay independent, and you can call out any mistake, including ours.
111
State Zone Verifiers (SZV)
Three for each state and three for the FCT, aligned to senatorial districts. They see incoming reports for their own state only and flag problems.
16
Regional Verifiers (NRV)
Two for each of eight regions (draft). They oversee the SZVs in their region, review escalations, and can flag in any state of their region.
The rules, enforced by the database
Your state, your reports
You choose your state of origin or of residence when you apply, and it can't be changed later. Someone from Lagos verifies Lagos, not Bauchi. The database rejects any other assignment.
24 hours, then 6
First-wave selectees get a one-time code and 24 hours to create an account and complete their profile. An unused place passes to the next most compatible applicant from the same state, who gets 6 hours.
Flags, not edits
Verifiers cannot write or change results. They can read reports in their area and raise flags. Only an admin can approve a correction, after AI re-investigation.
Unpaid, on purpose
This is volunteer work. Expecting payment rules an applicant out, which protects verifiers from anyone trying to buy influence.

Proposed NRV regions · draft
Eight regions covering all 37.
These regions follow geography and travel routes, not politics. Once INEC's polling-unit list is loaded, they will be rebalanced so each carries a similar number of polling units.
